The Mirror Ducts Vent Cleaning Process
The cleaning process can vary depending on the duct design and build of the home, but in most homes it requires a powerful vacuum hose to be mounted on to the main trunk lines or plenum. Cutting an 8" access hole on certain areas of the main lines are required to mount our vacuum hose.
One inch holes are drilled throughout the duct work to feed our air rods and agitation tools through the duct to dislodge dust and debris. You will find these holes on the elbows of the duct work, on the main trunk lines, and on the return pans. Removal of registers and cold air grills throughout the home may be necessary to get a more in depth cleaning.
Once the cleaning is finished the 8" holes will be sealed with a 26 gauge galvanized metal plate along with sheet metal screws and UL 181A listed foil tape. The 1" holes will be sealed with a 1" plastic duct cap specifically designed for duct cleaners needing to make these access holes.
When finished, everything will be sealed and put back in it's place appropriately and your system will be running more efficiently and clear of dust.
